Classes are limited to 4 students to allow plenty of interaction with the instructor. Use our machines or bring your own.
Always wanted to learn to use a sewing machine? This is where you start. In one 2.5 hour session, you will learn how to thread, clean, and operate your machine, practice sewing and pressing, and complete a small project. Suitable for teens and adults.

A low key and free meet up where we gather with snacks and drinks to work on whatever hand stitching project you’d like. Opportunity to purchase craft kits if you don’t already have one. This doesn’t include formal instruction, but we are happy to help however we can.
Tuesday July 7th, 10am-12pm
You already know how to use a machine and you want to learn how to sew clothes for yourself or someone else. This 2.5 hour class will be lecture style so you can learn about patterns, garment terms, basic tools, taking measurements, choosing the right fabric, key terminology, and most importantly, pressing! You will leave the class ready to start your first project. Please bring a notebook and pencil. Suitable for teens and adults. Option to purchase tool kit with Mel’s favorite supplies as well as fabric for your project.

You’ve chosen a pattern and the appropriate fabric and you’re ready to dive into your very first garment sewing project! Bring your prepared fabric and pattern to the first session. In this 4 part class, you will learn how to lay out your fabric, cut accurately, and assemble a simple top, elastic waist pants or shorts, easy robe, or a skirt. 10 hours of instruction, suitable for teens and adults.
